WATER UNSAFE TO DRINK as of 6/19/25

Attention homeowners, the DNR has deemed our water unsafe to drink. I am working on an estimate to install filtration systems on each well. This will be required by the DNR. The water has radionuclides in it. That’s what I was told by the DNR. I was told that a filtration system will not fit in the ground on well 3, so I assume there will need to be a well house built for well 3. Also, the culvert pipe is undercut the road at the front of the subdivision and I have an estimate to repair it but there are some trees in the way that the contractor said will need to be removed. The road needs to be resurfaced and the estimate is on the “Road” page. We need to have a meeting asap. Let Jim Salyer know when is a good date and time for you so we can have a meeting and decide what to do.

MESSAGE JUNE 6/30/25

Here is the latest information I have about the culvert pipe, the road and the water and I am resigning as a trustee. Please watch the video.

MESSAGE JUNE 6/25/25

I’ve gotten the estimates for resurfacing the road, fixing the culvert pipe, water filtration, and working on an estimate for building a new well house at well 3. If anyone wants more estimates then you can help the neighborhood out just like I’m trying to do and go get more estimates. I do not have time to get more estimates because I work for a living and getting all these estimates takes time that I have to find and manage and is not easy to do. Just because I’m a trustee does not mean I am required to do any of this! We all need to work together! I’m trying to help everyone and I’ve got my own personal life to attend to and I’m not a public servant nor does being a trustee pay anything. As a matter of fact, I have spent my own money on this HOA to try and help. All this repair, maintenance, construction and water filtration will cost money. It’s not going to be cheap! If we do nothing and don’t act on this and agree what to do, here’s what will happen… we will get fined from the DNR and they can and will shut the water off if they so choose. Don’t fix the road and it is on the verge of having to be completely scraped off and a whole new road of asphalt being put down. If we don’t fix the road and it goes back to gravel, the value of everyone’s house will go down with a gravel road instead of having a paved road. If water runs over the road in a heavy rain and the culvert pipe is undercut and if it’s not fixed, someone is gonna get hurt in a collapse wreck and that would lead to a lawsuit. I’m not trying to be disrespectful to anyone here but there are some people that maybe think that this is all on the trustees and it is not! We all live in this neighborhood and we all have a big financial investment and interest in this. My 3 years as a trustee is up and if anyone wants to take on this headache in my place, you can have it! Yes it’s a pain to try and help and that’s the key word here is “help”! We can all help each other collectively and pitch in. The trustees are not required to do any of this. We are simply trying to help. If anyone isn’t happy with that, then by all means, volunteer to do this and I’ll step down! – Billy Thetford

IMPORTANT UPDATE – JUNE 2025

We will have a neighborhood meeting as soon as everyone is available to attend. The topic of discussion will be paying for water filtration and resurfacing the road and everyone needs to know that the underground culvert pipe at the front of the subdivision is under cutting and on the verge of collapse! Drive slowly over it until we get it fixed. Thanks.
